Yoshi's New Island, the sequel to Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, will launch on the Nintendo 3DS in North America on March 14, Nintendo announced today.
The game will be available at retail and through the Nintendo 3DS eShop.
Yoshi's New Island's development team is headed by producer Takashi Tezuka, the creative director on the original 1995 Super NES Yoshi's Island. In this sequel, Yoshi will carry Baby Mario to safety across a handful of new environments with a watercolor art style similar to that of previous Yoshi's games.
Yoshi's New Island was first announced, though not with its finalized title at E3 2013.
